Things Parents Usually Ask Me

Can't my student just use their university career center?

They absolutely should - as a resource! But the average career center has one counselor for every 1,000+ students. What they can offer in a 20-minute appointment is very different from what I can do in six dedicated 1-on-1 sessions. Think of it like the difference between a school library and a private tutor. One is a great resource. The other changes outcomes.

Is this for my student directly, or do I participate too?

The coaching sessions are with your student - they need to own their own job search, and I help them do that. But if you're on the Semester Sprint or Full Insider package, I'll include a parent briefing call so you always know where things stand and how you can be supportive without overstepping.

My student doesn't know what they want to do yet. Is that a problem?

Not at all - that's actually one of the most valuable things we can work through together. Figuring out what to target is the foundation. We'll work on self-assessment, career exploration, and narrowing in on a path that fits them before ever touching a resume or job board.

What if my student is a freshman vs. a senior? Does it matter?

Timing matters a lot - and I'll tailor everything accordingly. Freshmen and sophomores should be building their brand and early network now so they're in a strong position when recruiting really heats up. Juniors need an immediate internship strategy. Seniors need to convert offers and negotiate well. Every package is personalized to exactly where your student is in the timeline.

Why is this priced the way it is?

For context - private college admissions consulting typically runs $5,000 to $20,000 or more. The coaching I offer is comparably priced because it's comparably impactful. Getting into a great school is one milestone. Getting a great job out of it - ideally at a company like the ones I've worked at - is the milestone that actually pays off that investment for the rest of their life.
