Does HOW you grow up affect WHO you become as an adult? 🤔

I know there's research that suggests that parenting and other early influences are not as important as we believe them to be...

...and yet, while talking to Raymond Lee on his awesome Clocking Out podcast, I realized that so much of WHO I am today started with WHERE I started 40 years ago:

👀 Growing up in Buffalo, NY (one of the 10 poorest cities in the country) and seeing first-hand that the American Dream is not equally distributed

💥 Starting my first business at age 10 (a paper route) and realizing that, even in a tough world, you've always got more power at your fingertips than you know

⚡️ Becoming a kindergarten teacher as my first full-time job and seeing how education can be an amazing superpower to unlock opportunities
