How to Make Career Services the Rockstars of Campus

Career Services staff *should* be the ROCKSTARS of campus. 🤘

After all, who else on campus is going to help you avoid living in your mom's basement after graduation?

And then go on to live your best life??? 🤩

And yet, I don't always see Career Departments positioned that way.

Too often, they're relegated to the nosebleed seats, with groupie budgets, and no say over the setlist (courses and grades).

There are definitely some exceptions:

1️⃣ I ❤️ how Kim Kufahl at Wichita State University has rebranded her office as the Shocker Career Accelerator 🖤💛⚡️ (wouldn't that be a great name for a band?)

2️⃣ How Rosemary Cooper, Ph.D. at University of Texas at Tyler has turned her Career Success Conference into the biggest event of the year - complete with a marching band + cheerleaders 📣

3️⃣ How Laura Bellis at University of Notre Dame gets students pumped up for big interviews with a view over Notre Dame Stadium and the "Rudy" theme song playing in the background 🎵

So question: Who else do you see really ROCKING it out there???
